Laurence Fishburne and Playtika team up for WSOP national commercial campaign

Playtika announced a new partnership with Hollywood superstar Laurence Fishburne this week, with a new national commercial campaign for the WSOP play-for-fun poker site. The new commercial first aired on February 3 and is the first time Fishburne has teamed up with an entertainment-style mobile game.

The commercial features Fishburne as he narrates the story of a player known as StanDaMan. The player is determined to earn a digital version of the popular WSOP championship bracelet. This special bracelet is considered the top non-monetary prize that the industry has to offer.

StanDaMan goes on his quest while at a diner, with the surroundings changing from an eatery to a royal dining hall in medieval times. As Fishburne narrates the tale, he discusses the unique poker experience players will find at the WSOP. The platform gives every player a shot at going from nothing to greatness, and ‘Become A Poker Legend’!

In a statement, Fishburne commented that it was interesting to work on the project and he felt like he had to be a part of it. Fishburne stated:
