World Poker Tour® and partypoker Partner for the Season XIX WPT® World Online Championships

Los Angeles, CA (July 29, 2021) – The World Poker Tour® and partypoker are partnering to offer another prestigious festival for all players. The Season XIX WPT® World Online Championships festival runs from August 13-September 15 and is highlighted by the WPT Main Event from August 29-September 15.

The WPT World Online Championships Main Event marks the ninth WPT Main Tour event held on partypoker since Season XVIII and features a $5,300 buy-in and $5 million guarantee. Phil Mighall won the WPT World Online Championship Main Event last year in a $10,300 buy-in for $1.55 million versus a field of 1,011 entries.

Players can look forward to three starting flights taking place on consecutive Sundays across August 29, September 5, and September 12. The final table takes place on September 15 and will be live streamed across the partypoker and WPT platforms with the winner putting their name on the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup.

In addition, the popular Pro Hunt event is back. On Thursday, August 13, players can compete in a $33 buy-in Progressive Knockout event with bounty prizes available including $109 Main Event satellite tickets and a $5,300 Main Event seat will go to the winner. partypoker team members Jaime Staples, Courtney Gee, Patrick Leonard, Joao Simao, Joni Jouhkimainen and Mikita Bodyakovskiy will all be playing in the event. In addition, 20% of the total prize pool will be donated to charity.

As always, satellites are available on partypoker for the WPT Main Event. Players can qualify starting at $.01 and also work their way up starting at Phase 1 ($4.40 daily), Phase 2 ($22 daily), and Phase 3 ($109 daily). The final phase takes place every Sunday with no direct buy-in, to give all players a shot at the 20 x $5,300 seats guaranteed.

More events for the WPT World Online Championships festival will be announced at a later date.

Season XIX of the World Poker Tour kicked off with the WPT Online Series won by Christian Rudolph for  $487,443.
