The top-line figures at DraftKings and FanDuel
The two sites both had pretty good weeks as NFL season gets into full swing.
According to a sampling of the publicly viewable NFL contests from Sept. 11-17, DraftKings realized more than $2.8 million in revenue and more than $25 million in entry fees. (The sample included guaranteed prize pools (GPP) and non-guaranteed contests, but not head-to-head contests.) For Sunday only, DraftKings saw $2.1 million in revenue and $18 million in handle.
The numbers were smaller for a comparable sample at FanDuel: $2.1 million in revenue for the week and more than $13 million in handle. (The Sunday numbers: $1.8 million and more than $11 million. Here is what the two sites did for the first Sunday of NFL.)
Those figures do not include revenue or handle from other sports. More than eight million entries were made across the two sites for NFL contests.
