WORLD POKER TOUR® ADDS POKER LEGEND DOYLE BRUNSON TO AMBASSADOR ROSTER

Irvine, CA (June 21, 2022) – Poker Hall of Fame inductee and WPT® Champions Club member Doyle Brunson joins the expanding lineup of World Poker Tour® ambassadors. As WPT’s newest representative, Brunson will attend WPT events and work alongside online partners in promotional efforts. Under his new ambassadorship, poker players and fans will have opportunities to meet with Doyle throughout the WPT live tournament schedule.

“Doyle has been a part of the World Poker Tour from the very beginning,” said Adam Pliska, World Poker Tour CEO. “I was there for his WPT Legends of Poker victory in 2004 when he joined the WPT Champions Club, and to also be here to welcome him to the WPT family after all this time feels surreal.”

Brunson is the latest addition in a wave of WPT Ambassador signings since the start of Season XX, including poker vloggers Brad Owen and Andrew Neeme, and superstar DJ Steve Aoki.

In his younger years, Brunson progressed quickly from a scouted basketball player to a poker enthusiast, then to a professional gambler. His poker career is considered to be one of the most decorated of all-time, and he is one of the only poker players to ever become a member of the WPT Champions Club, a WSOP Main Event Winner, and a Poker Hall of Fame inductee.

In addition to his tournament poker success, Brunson has authored several formative poker strategy books and played in some of the highest stakes cash games in the world. His 10 WSOP bracelet wins put him into an elite club of players to ever attain that many: Johnny Chan (10), Phil Ivey (10), and fellow WPT Ambassador Phil Hellmuth (16).
